Well folks, it's time to take a chill pill if you're buying into the whole 'Obama is a socialist' drivel flowing out of Fox News and the rest of the right wing zealot wind machine.  Bottom line is we had a president for the last 8 years who had his head in the sand (and I'm being nice here).  I'd love to cling to the unrealistic and obsolete notion of America as always right, just and infallible.  But as a real thinking American, and a true patriot, I know that we have flaws, including plenty of backwards, racist, greedy people who wrap themselves tightly in the flag and thump their Bible to claim a righteous perch in society.

Well, I've had it, and so have the majority of the people in our great Republic.  The days when the hard labor of many help over-feed and over-feather the nests of a few lucky sperm club members are numbered.

Yet, surprisingly, I am one of the people who the Rushes and  Hannity's claim to be championing.  I am a business owner that will be seeing higher taxes, and I have no problem with it.  Hell, I voted for it.   And I will proudly do my duty as a citizen. If my neighbor's son or daughter can go off to war for the greater good, how dare I get pissy about taxes? The thought of the millions of people in this country that have trouble keeping a roof over their heads and food in the mouths of their children while the traders at Merrill Lynch walk with millions is the greatest injustice in this country.  Am I a bleeding heart liberal?  Hell no.  But I'll tell you what I'm not-- religious.  And I find it mighty curious that it's the right wing religious folk in this country that talk the Jesus, Jesus, Jesus talk and then walk away from showing true compassion for their fellow citizens.

And all this bull$#!+ about taxes stifling my and my fellow business owners' incentive to hire people is just what I said it is.  What will stifle my hiring is a crumbling economy that was built on false pretense for decades and then put on autopilot for the last eight incredibly incompetent years.   America right now is nothing more than an aggregate version of the Bush administration, which was just like too many American households who bought and charged and charged some more, thinking that they'd somehow figure out how to pay for it later. 

Well, the time to pay for it is now.  It ain't gonna be easy, and it ain't gonna be pretty, especially if the Boehner's, Graham's and Kantor's keep trying to obstruct the clean up of this toxic economic dump we've created for ourselves. 

I have a suggestion for Limbaugh, Hannity, Boehner, Kantor, Jindal, and everyone else who's chiming in with partisan fervor here on this website:

Face up to the new reality.  Quit your bitching, obstructing and obfuscating.  Be the Americans you claim to be by picking up a shovel and helping our new president with the digging.  There's a lot of work to do.  If you're not up to the task, we'll cut you some slack--call it political welfare--but if that's the case, do all of us a favor --shut up and get the hell out of the way while we truly patriotic Americans do what needs to be done.
